My territory and 花蝴蝶

I think it's been almost half a year ago since i last wrote something here 

Part of it is because i'm lazy (oopss.. have to change this bad habit) and part of it is because life is basically too fast paced for me . This is June 2009 , half of year 2009 is gone !!
Well, life has been good for me. Been able to balance work and life , glad that my boss is not that kind of 'you must work OT' kind of boss !

For the past few months , i'm joining a vocal training class , well ... those who know me well should know that i am really into music .. have to admit that my voice is still "OK" hahaa..
It's just one of my past time hobby and i do have interest in deepen knowledge in how to project and sing a song well . I enjoy myself a lot in this class , well , hope that it will be another breakthrough for me to be able to impress people with my vocal

In the next few months , my work is going to be busier , with big projects coming in , probably need to travel overseas as well . Let's hope that those H1N1 flu will not affect too many people around .. hopefully i will be fine as well , LOL

And my one and only hope now is hoping that i will be able to get a good rest and holiday after hectic work projects , first destination will be TAIWAN !!!!

Hope that the next time i blog , i will be able to share about my Taiwan trip .. alright .. ciao !

Well , i should say other than my 2 super idols right now , Show Luo and Jolin Tsai , i have added one more to my list , which is the "Music Man" Wang Leehom !

I went to his concert at Singapore Indoor Stadium and i was amazed at how talented is this guy. His concert theme was inspired by his hobby ro read those superheroes comic , such as Superman, Batman , Spiderman etc .. and thus he came up with this idea called "Music Man" , armed with his "BAHAMUT" guitar.

This guitar looks cool with the shape of a dragon forming the body of the guitar , heard that to tailor made this guitar needs US$ 30,000 !

Look at its cool handle ! Coupled by another electric guitar with Chinese style crafted at the body of the guitar ..

With his second weapon .. Piano He looks cool , right????

During the whole night , LeeHom was accompanied with his Bahamut and the Chinese Style Guitar , followed by his piano and violin !  He sang a lot of his famous well known songs , be it ballad songs (which caused the whole stadium to be a super giant karaoke room) and his own style Chinese R&B 'Chinked Out' songs.

The stage was built with 3 big LED screen and even though you were seated at the back of the stadium, you could still see him clearly ! Not to forget he played some magic trick , appearing as 4 'Leehoms' on stage as guitarist , bassist , drummer and lead singer .

Later on he played another magic trick , one second he was standing on the stage in a box and then just one second after that , he appeared at the opposite side of the stage above the audience seat ! Really don't know how he did that ... but anyway , now a lot of singers are performing magic tricks in the midst of their performance , which made me wonder , singer ? or magician? Hehee..

I think if they have retired as a singer , they should launch their new career as magician .

Conclusion .. Leehom rocks !

Last week i went to HongKong for a short trip of holiday. It was a tiring yet enjoyable trip , because almost everyday we went out early and came back late.
Well .. 1st day reach HongKong , we went to Avenue of Stars at Tsim Tsa Tsui area and saw HK's night scene , second day proceed to Disneyland , we were there the whole day. Taking lots of photographs and saw Disney's show and parade . The most memorable moment was .... i went into so called 'haunted hotel' and 'haunted jungle' . I didn't think of going into there, but since my cousins asked me to .. well .. no choice . Felt afraid the moment before i stepped in to the hotel because we heard screamings from inside .

Turn out , it's quite scary .. and i kind of shout my heart out the whole journey , keep on looking for th EXIT sign .. and say to myself "Oh gosh ... why have i not reached the way out??" .. But it was fun though. Having had the first experience in a ghost hotel , i went into the 'haunted jungle' one more time , this time it's not so scary anymore .. everytime i went into a junction , i will just shout no matter there is a ghost or not .. haha

Third day , we went to Macau , visited the ruins of St. Paul and went to The Venetian casino .. well, have my first gambling experience there .. fourth day , still at Macau , went to Fisherman's wharf and some casinos there . And i won .... haha , not much , but at least i have the fun that i won money !!!

Fifth day , we went to Ocean Park , but it was so crowded with people since it was HK 's national day. Didn't get to spend so much time there , later on we went to Times Square and Sogo at Kowloon Bay .

Sixth day , went to do my own shopping at Mongkok , which was filled with teenager's T shirts and 'bling bling' stuff .. my favourite ..

Seventh day , went to Lantau island to visit Polin monastery , the famous Buddha statute there. Took some photos too .. and then the next day , back to Singapore !!!

Would want to go back there again some time .. check out my photos there which i'm going to upload later !

Last saturday , 12th July 2008 , i went to Gary Chaw's Concert in Singapore Indoor Stadium with my family. Not really excited or expecting a wonderful show from Gary , as i am not really his big fans , but it was an awesome performance. First few moments of the concert , Gary started by singing fast pace song accompanied by hot dancers , and followed by some well known slow songs from him.

I was wondering , how come he has not even spoken a word to the audience and kept on singing , and then i realize that he was trying to build up a touching atmosphere while singing the slow songs , you could almost feel the sad feelings expressed in the lyrics.

Later on , Gary started to talk to the audience , and he was a very straight person. That's what i like about him. His voice is powerful and he demonstrated the 'low-high' pitch changing in one of the songs (one sentence with low and manly voice , the next sentence with his high pitch voice).

The audience were all so surprised to find out that Aska Yang was actually seated on the first row , enjoying the concert with Genie Zhuo and Jet Yi Jie Qi who were the concert guests.

Overall , it was a nice concert , even my dad and my mum who does not really like to listen to modern songs said that Gary's style of singing will not cause people to feel bored for the 2 hours plus concert.

Time , what does it mean to all of you?
Just in a blink of an eye , it is middle of 2008. Seems like it was just yesterday that we celebrated New Year and now half a year has gone by.
Of course people get older and as we get older , our mindset has to be more mature . And what does maturity means to some people?
Well .. some people just could not be mature at all ...

I am in those group of people who could not just sit quietly all day at home , if there is something that i could do to make use of my time or there is something that i must do , i would rather do it right here right now rather than wasting time by keep on procrastinating .

Time would not wait for us ... it would not come back no matter how hard you hope or pray for it !

So ... which group are you in ?

2008 .. is this a good year or bad year ? Well, there's no definite answer , some say it's a good year , some say it's a bad year , due to the recent natural disasters.
Floods in Philippines , earthquake in Indonesia , cyclone in Myanmar to the recent Sichuan Earthquake which has taken the life of about 50,000 people in China.
There's no doubt that China has so many people that only an earthquake in a small province has caused the death of nearly 50,000 people. Looking at all the news , it is really heart wrenching to see those kids and children who has lost their parents.
Lots and lots of charities event are being held to raise funds for those victims , there's no doubt that when it comes to a hard times like this , all of us must help one another !

This has really reminded me of an important lesson , life is not predictable. So live it to the fullest ... you may not know when will our life end , so do whatever you can today , don't wait until tomorrow what you can do today .. a simple English phrase which has a deep meaning !

So don't procrastinate ..

This is not a new song , but lately been listening to it a lot of times , there's a certain sour feeling everytime i listen to it , probably it's the lyric , probably it's the melody , but it makes me ponder back to one thing ... treasure your relationship , don't wait until the trust is shattered , then only you regret on it !

Lately i am preparing for my CPA exam .. it's Financial Risk Management . And this time i'm going crazy over all the terms and the calculations !  To some people it might be a very common senses thing , but for me .. haihh.. it is just not working out as good as it seems.

Anyway ... got to sleep , tomorrow is my last day at work before my whole week leave for my exam preparation , and i got to release some of my stress during these few days !  I guess go to K -song is the best way .. haha , it's such a long time since the last time i step into that place !

Like the lyrics of these two songs , these are two sad love songs , after finished listening to it , i've became hooked to the melody and the lyrics. 一個人 is a song that portrayed the loneliness , the melody was quite a bit slow rock thus there is a feeling of anger inside when you are left alone by someone. Meanwhile 節拍器 is a true sad song , the way Jolin sang it , you can feel the sadness inside .

Lately i like to listen to this song , i love the lyrics , the melody and the way Tanya Chua sings it out. There's a sour feeling everytime i finish listening to this song , moreover lately a frind of mine has just passed away . This makes the song really can touch my heart everytime i listen to it ! It has become one of my favourite K-song everytime i visit K-Box .. haha

Yesterday i received a shocking news from one of my high school friend , she sms me saying that one of our friend , Brian Utomo, has passed away because of an accident . In the first place , i thought that she was just joking , hence i waited for a while and started to ask and call my other friends to confirm the news.

To my surprise, Brian has already left all of us here. I still could not believe that this is happening , out of all the people , why does it have to be him ???? He was a very good friend of mine , i still remembered that we used to play and bicker at each other during our high school days , and got caught by the teacher because we were not paying attention to the class. He was a good class chief leader , and a nice friend to depend on. The last time i met him was 2 years ago when we were back from holiday , even though time seemed to pass so fast , we were still in contact 1 month ago through emails , out of nowhere he sms me and email me asking about updates. I was happy when i know that he was able to get a good job in a company in Jakarta.

But all of those have become memories ... he was gone forever ... It was hard for me to accept that news in the first place , but that is life , people will come and people will go , but i have never thought that he will go so fast , just in 23 years of his life , he has left all of his friends and family behind . Brian .. hope that you will rest well up there and keep all of us here safe and sound ! I will definitely miss you a lot a lot and will always remember you as a part of my life ...

Start to treasure everyone who is beside you now before you start to regret once they are gone from your life ...

Finally i've got to watch this awesome concert .. the audience were super high from the beginning until the end , with 21 songs , great dance moves and touching love ballads , Show Luo was able to deliver his long awaited 4 years concert in Singapore. Of course not to forget his ability to joke around and to be so natural that he is not just an idol to his fans , he is their friend !

Performing the famous 'chair dance' and the latest 'blood stomping dance' , he looked awesome with the shiny (bling bling) outfit the whole night. He tried to show off some of the high difficulty moves which he learned such as the pommel horse moves which Jolin Tsai performed before in her concert , being the usual funny Show Luo , he bragged about that moves to his dancers right in front of the audience.

With the guest performer Rainie Yang's presence , it is added bonus to the fans. And of cours by getting the whole hall audience to dance along to his "Twinkle" song , Show Luo wished everyone will have a good health forever !!!

He is the most down to earth singer that i have seen around , no regrets at all that i've been to this undeniably high and awesome concert , one of the best together with Jolin Tsai's Dancing Forever concert early in April 07 .

Well, today is Singapore's National Day (Independence Day) , it is just so awesome how they prepare to celebrate for this event. Lots of preparation were made weeks and days before the real day with stunts and parades , musicians etc. They even write 2 theme songs for this national day and invited the country's singer to sing it.

So it is very clear that Singaporeans take the meaning National Day as a very important day . What about other countries? Can share it over here!!

Haha.. Indonesians? Anyone wants to share ?

Today i went Bishan Junction 8 for the redemption of SHE "Play" Celebration concert next week at Singapore Max Pavillion.I was thinking that since i can redeem it for free cause i have the album ,then i might as well go for it .

I reached there around 5.45 pm, the redemption starts 6 pm,i was thinking that if there are around 100 people in front of me then it's ok , i can wait. But as i reach there to my surprise , i saw around 200 - maybe 300 people are there waiting for the redemption , i want to go inside but then the guard said that still have to take queue number from level 1 ( I was like my goodness ... still have to take queue number then only can go in????)

I was curious , then i go down to level 1 to try to take the q number and again ... a long q of around 100 people are there waiting for the q number in the HOT and HUMID open air place !!!! in order to get the q number , you still have to tell them the password ... i was like NO WAY I'm going to q there !!!

So at the end , i end up browsing through shops in Junction 8 since it was my first time there. I decided not to join the Q since i think i will faint there , and even if i manage to get the ticket , the seats will be far behind from stage since the q in front of me is like 300 people.!!!

Well , well, this is Singapore's tradition , people are queueing everyday .It can be a good practice also ,there's order when you queue , and i think that's why a lot of artists are willing to come to Singapore due to its tidiness and orderly manner . Next week SHE and Jay Chou will be coming for the promotion of both their album and new movie.

But when you are far behind the Q , you will feel like ... No way ... but i really have to respect those SHE fans who are willing to q under those humid and hot place ,thumbs up for them !!!

Haha.. if it is Jolin , i will Q all the way !!!    

Yeap, today is my birthday ! Even though i just stayed at home to rest and recharge myself for the preparation of work tomorrow , i'm quite impressed !!  haha.. reasong being that a lot of my long lost friend still remember my birthday , either they sms , call or drop comments at friendster . Some of them are at Indonesia , Malaysia and even Taiwan !!! whoo hoo..

Bt the way , this year is an early celebration for my birthday , Thursday night , whole company celebrated it for me and one of my colleague , we have nice dinner at French restaurant which lasted for 3 hours ! Don't misunderstand , it's not that we eat a lot , but each of us get a set dinner worth around 140 SGD per person and it is all subsidized by boss .. hehe!! The portion is not a lot (you know those French people , what they care is the beauty of the food) hahaa.. and yet we feel so full , don't know why !!

Then Friday is my off day , i went out with friends to watch Harry Potter , not a nice movie though , but at night we have dinner at Swensens . I was planning to treat them all , but they gave me surprise , get a small piece of ice cream cake and best still they bought me the dinner ! haha

So even though , it is not so happening as compared to when i was in Malaysia ( with those sampat cell group members and housemates :p) , it is still a good year for me !

Well, wonder what is going to happen next year ?? !!!  I'm older one more year now ^___^

Well, lately i've been watching one very inspiring DVD concert , Jolin Tsai 's "地才" DVD concert. I've included this DVD review under my review section.

Yeah, i'm a big fans of her , but it is not just because i like her then i recommend this DVD , but what i like is that behind the successful concert that she held last year , there's this amazing story behind the preparation . It shows that success can not be true or real without this element called HARDWORK..

So i found that this DVD is very inspiring for all people who have dreams that are yet to come true.. continue fighting for your dreams!!!

And by the way , i found that this DVD is quite creative . They put the acronym for Jolin's name . J stands for Just need a little more time  , O stands for One and lonely , L stands for Let's dance , I stands for Impossible is possible , N stands for Never give up !!!

That's how we should live our life !

Yesterday i was there in the midst of 10,000 people for the opening of the conference. The conference was broadcasted live in the whole world and the opening night was indeed quite cool.

Last year , they invited Sun , Niu Nai from Energy , Hong Jun Yang , Kelly Poon and Taufik Batisah . This year even more surprise, international singers from Taiwan are attending the conference too!!! I think it is because of last year's successful Emerge Taiwan , they have some connection over there to invite some singers.

Yesterday , i was shocked by the introduction of Faye from FIR , she's sitting in front of the few rows from the stage. I thought that she was here to support Real from FIR for the auto session for his solo album in Singapore, so i bet and thought that for the next few rounds Real could be performing on stage. Hahaa.. but too bad Faye didn't sing as they couldn't afford to have her singing on the stage due to tight budget.

Then there was Tank !!! He perfomed 2 songs from his latest album, the whole hall was excited by his performance. He was very funny , he greeted the whole audience in front of the TV with Hallelujah !! haha

Vivi Wang , girlfriend of Will Liu Geng Hong , who acted as the female lead in Jay Chou's "Fa Ru Xue" MV ,  was also in the midst of the audience. And i'm sure that Will Liu Geng Hong will be performing also on stage in the next few sessions.

Sun was there in the midst of them too. So it's a great reunion for FIR and Sun as they were collaborating in her album before.

Yesterday night, i was having a weird dream.. but it's not the ghost thing , it's just that suddenly i dreamt about my high school friends  whereby we meet up in a place sort of like our old shool and having lessons..

Hmm.. and i dreamta about meeting my best friend , Nini who is now in China , and a few of my other girl - friends such as Chin2 , Ah Phin  etc.. and i dreamt about meeting my crush at that time also (hahaaaa)... funny.. hmm, wondering when can all of us gather together after not meeting up for 5 years !

Going to wait for that day ....
